Project - Penang Battery, Batu Maung, Penang - 6th July 2007 [PRIVATE ALBUM]

This fortress complex sits on the south-eastern tip of Penang Island, just behind the Bayan Lepas Intl Airport. It's in an impressive state of preservation, much, much better than anything I've seen in Singapore. The ladders, ammunition hoists etc. are all still intact as are the racks, bunks etc.

Activity - Galaxy Domination Session turns into silly slug-fest of Mutually Assured Destruction 30th June 2007

1 hour into the 8 player game of Twilight Imperium III - Shattered Empire, I knew my game was over with no way to have fun, let alone win when a silly slug-fest developed. Red fleet and Orange fleet were irrationally determined to butt their heads against my Blue fleet, and the remaining 6 hours was just painfully boring, trading resources and ships to fend off 2 rival fleets from my area. This left Ur to sweep the board unmolested. Totally disgusting.

I think all enthusiasm to dominate the Galaxy has been thoroughly leeched from my system for the foreseeable future... the sad whimper of a swan-song for a would be Galactic Tyrant.
