ReplyDeleteSorry I can't join u guys....Anyway, I worked till 8 plus today, there's no way I could make it to science centre on time too...ha ha....well, was also late for my yoga class too :P ....gotta go back office tomorrow to clear some odds and ends...
I'm dog tired....
sky was terrible, but it cleared up a little for about 2 hours and so some people brought out their telescopes. Got some nice views of Jupiter. Jupiter's cloud bands were clearly visible as well as 5 moons of Jupiter (as best I could count). Then an expert came about and started doing wonderous things to my telescope and pointed it to M7 as well as to NGC2366 (I think... :p )
ReplyDeleteWas also just fun watching the Science Center telescope in action. Really cool when they rotated the astronomy dome... just like in the movies... XD
Oh, and btw, the Perseids meteor shower is currently in the sky. Tried to catch it last Saturday night but lousy cloud cover again. You guys might want to try. Should keep up over the next few nights. The meteor showers concentrate around the constellation Perseus. It transitted at 7am on Sunday morning so try and catch the showers at say about 4-5am in the east.
