  1. Cool. I wish I could sketch my own dream home.

  2. The round area is a raised roof with all round skylight along the top. Below are 4 areas, (see sketch of dining/atrium) which includes the dining, raised piano atrium/enclave, indoor garden and living room

  6. Do you really think he would forget about that... beside, I think he would have to put up the gamers at his place, especially if they play Citadel... kekeke.

  11. Sigh... I doubt you would ever find a place here in Singapore... unless you want to stay on the outlying islands.... then, the other choice would be going back to Malaysia for your dream house... then, we would need to pass through the Customs to get to you... haiz

  12. The interesting feature I'm dying to try is the play in water levels around the swimming pool which can be lowered to get more walking space surrounding the pool during a party etc. When the water is raised to max level, the water comes right up to the edge of the building (at the Music Enclave/Atrium) and only the 2 sets of long rectangular walking slabs connect the swimming pool with the 2 doorways into the house show above the water level (ie. the swimming pool looks like it is double the size).

This water also flows underneath the Music Enclave/Atrium crossing the Livingroom/dining to the indoor garden (see view of dining/atrium showing mini bridge spanning from living room to dining).

  13. There are a few things I'm still not quite happy with this house design however;

    1. overall look doesn't flow well enough. As it stands, all three buildings look a little mismatched. Perhaps making more of the roofs look the same would help. Switching the positions of the living/dining with the Master bedroom annex would help too I think.

    2. not enough toilets. Such a large house and only 4 toilets (1 is only a powder room without shower/bath)

    3. really wanted a swimming pool right at the edge overlooking the sea but gave that up to have a full view from the dining and seaview balcony for great BBQ parties

    4. headroom for the main curved staircase is still problematic.... but the need to balance the two "squares" on both sides of the driveway porch limits my options

    5. kitchen really is faaaaaaar from the dining room... although that perhaps isn't quite the problem it seems at first glance since most of the time, meals would be taken in the family room and the dining is more a "formal dining" than anything.

    6. All this talk and sigh..... no money to build this house.... still all in the realm of pleasant daydreaming....

  14. So when my rich uncle, who lives in the poor house, leaves me a tidy sum, are you for hire? I'm sure that given the number of mountains around here I can find a plot on a bluff.

  15. I am always at the service of people with fortunes left to them by rich uncles. ;)

  16. I think it is really nice to reserve a small area / room just for laundry purpose.. so that the floors will not get wet from washing..

Hmmm if I have the fortune.. I still prefer a freehold landed house than a high floor condo.. :-) I daydream sometimes too, to have two big dogs (one golden and another black coat..) and they will their very own dog-house, just next to the main gate so they will be good watch dogs.., a small patch of my favorite fruits and vegetables plantation.., perhaps even a rose garden... a koi pond or a turtle pond with pretty pink lotus flowers in it..., a strong rattan swing just around here so I can swing and read, sometimes even take a short nap on it.. or just moon-gaze.. then all bedrooms will have a full-height windows with beautiful lacey curtains.. of course all the rooms will come with spacious bathroom filled with essential oils.. ...

*snap* ok time for me to wake up.. I dont think I will ever get there this life.. =)

  17. My dream place is a small place by the sea...need not to be very big, just enough space for me, one other person and maybe two or three dogs.

  18. Got...

The washing area is the square area just outside the kitchen which opens to the garden just like my old house in KL.
