Bamboo Flowers

Amazingly our bamboo plant is flowering! Do you know how rare this is?

Now I'm worried its going to die. :(

  2. Bamboo doesn't flower but once in decades, with some species only flowering every 120 years and it happens all over the world all at the same time so this is rare. But the problem is, after flowering, the bamboo usually dies to make way for the new seeds to germinate. :( I hope my bamboo lives.

  3. Amazing! Bamboo hardly blooms! Looks like your luck is extraordinary :)
Well, if your bamboo withers then be it. It's part of the natural process, at least it once bloomed!
