  1. Ohhh...where did you get that cheung-po?

  2. Ordered it from the US. The shop sent it to my cousin the Atlanta and she mailed it to me. Then when I got it, I found out that it's made in Shanghai. :p Really ridiculous that after searching all over the only place I can get a Chinese changpao is from the US of A. (other than the tacky silky crap they sell in Chinatown)

  5. Ohh...my sis found a shop in Lucky Plaza that sells men's samfoos as well as cheung-pos. I've yet to see for myself though. lol

  6. Actually, quite a few stalls at Chinatown sell them, only problem I find with what they sell... shiny, tacky-looking-obviously-for-angmo-tourist-fake-satin/silk changpaos. I wanted a authentic cotton one that would have been worn by a middle-class scholar ca. 1930s Shanghai. ;)

Did AB get to the exams late?

  8. AB wasn't cut out to study the classics... he turned to building catapults instead and so got thrown out by the lao shi

  11. Hahaha, you mean "attempting" to read. It's a replica copy of the Song Dynasty encyclopedia on Building and Architecture ca. 11th century A.D.

I'm glad you like it - and if you need any help learning how to snap it open like a pro, yours truly could give you a lesson or two. :P
